Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m the printmaker.

Block prints aren’t perfect. But they have soul. I want my block printed graphics to capture the soul of your company’s story. After all, they’ve been on a journey too, with a story of their own.

Any graphic I make starts with a conversation. I want to know you, your company, your history. The feeling you’d like people to get when they think of your company. What makes you excited. The best part happens when I turn the final sketch into a block print, transferring image to block, carving out, rolling with ink + printing.

Although each graphic ends up digital, I want it to look and feel just like it did when it came rolling out of the press. Hand-carved, with just a touch of imperfection.

Logos.

A logo tells the world about what kind of company you have in a way that words can’t. A block printed logo suggests that you value handmade and take pride in your work, and that you support companies/artisans who do too.

Packaging.

It doesn’t matter if the box is full of vegetables or banjo armrests, a block printed graphic can make your packaging stand out in a sea of digital designs. It’s handmade, yet polished.

Merch.

T-shirt designs. Stickers or patches. Totebags. Whether for a particular event or for your company’s new iconic swag, I can make a block printed-based graphic to fit the bill.

how it works.

Working with me is interactive. We start with a phone call, where I learn about your goals, your style, and how I can best help you. Then I’ll come up with some initial sketches and send those along for your feedback. We go back and forth until landing on a finished sketch, which I’ll then turn into a block print. This hand-carved, hand-printed graphic gets digitized and sent to you for another round of tweaks before finalizing. The whole process can take around a month or longer, depending on how long the sketch development takes.
